Melissa has been in the hair industry for over 11 years.  She is a fifth generation stylist in her family!  Originally from the Twin Cities, Melissa spent considerable time moving around within the continental United States while her husband was in the military.  She feels her experiences across the nation in different cultures and climates have given her a great education about people's needs and wants when it comes to their hair.  Her technical strengths are her ability and passion in working with curly/wavy hair, and also with fine and thin hair.  She also has a special passion for doing Special Occasion hair and makeup, as well as performing "makeovers".  What drives Melissa in her craft is the constantly evolving creativity, and the privilege to customize a personal design with cut, color, and/or texture services to help make her guests feel better about themselves.  She likes to accentuate a person's best natural features and enhance what that person already has to build on.  She feels this results in personalized looks that are low maintenance and grow out beautifully!  Melissa also performs fabulous pedicure and manicure services, Shellac nail services, facial waxing and skin care sessions.  She has also added Lox Hair Extensions to her list of wonderful services!
